EnergoProFin is a finned propeller cap that recovers rotational energy from the hub vortex behind the propeller. Wärtsilä quotes typical savings of about 2%, and up to 5%, and it can be retrofitted during a dry-docking. EnergoProFin can be combined with EnergoFlow and is offered through Wärtsilä's propulsion services for retrofits on tankers, bulk carriers and container ships.
