During a dry-dock period for three weeks, we replaced an old NorControl System onboard.

During a dry-dock period for three weeks, we replaced an old NorControl System onboard. In addition, we had to do some modifications in the main switchboard, where we installed DEIF, GPU’s and FAS units for remote synchronization of generator and tie-breakers.
Høglund has delivered following solutions:
- Integrated Automation System (IAS) with Cargo Handling
- Power Management System (PMS)
- Engine Safety System
- Clutch Control System
- AC and Cargo Compressor Control System
- GMR Playback with 5 month recording of every signal every second
- Høglund Remote Control, for remote service and support
Old alarm and control panels in ECR desk
Old NorControl instrument panels
Old I/O Cabinet with controller and IO modules
Old modules are replaced with new S800 hardware
Old NorControl modules are replaced with redundant AC800 Controllers
New Høglund operation stations with wide screen monitors
New Høglund Control Cabinet with redundant controllers
New redundant AC800 Controllers and S800 hardware
This was a “turn-key” contract. Høglund project and commissioning engineers arranged :
- Approbation with Factory Acceptance Test together with DNV-GL
- Cable Pulling
- Installation, Re-connection and I/O check
- Harbour Acceptance Test with DNV-GL
- Sea Acceptance Test with DNV-GL
After the sea-trial we handed over the new system with all approved certificates needed
