Alva Industries is a Norwegian electric motor company headquartered in Trondheim, with a US office. It was founded with the aim of electrifying industries through a new production technology for electric motors, and it makes its motors in Norway.
The core technology is FiberPrinting, a patented production process for the core component in electric motors. According to the company it allows more power to be packed into ironless motors and shortens custom motor development in small and large lot sizes. Alva controls the value chain from design to finished product with full traceability.
Markets served include marine propulsion, defense and satcom, high-precision gimbals, medical devices, metrology, semiconductor and industrial automation. The management team includes CEO Oliver Skisland and founder and Chief Strategy Officer Jørgen Selnes.
