The Voith Group is a global technology company based in Heidenheim, Germany, with a history of more than 155 years. Voith GmbH & Co. KGaA is 100% family-owned. The operating business is organised in three Group Divisions: Voith Hydro, Voith Paper and Voith Turbo, serving the energy, paper, raw materials and transport markets.

The Voith Schneider Propeller goes back to Austrian engineer Ernst Schneider, whose propeller design was first tested successfully in 1926 at the Vienna Ship Model Basin. Voith developed the invention into a market-ready product, and in 2026 the company marks 100 years of the technology.

Voith drive components are used in industrial plants, in road and rail vehicles and on the water.
