Marine Power is an inboard marine engine manufacturer based in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, USA, with more than 60 years of experience in designing and manufacturing engines. The company runs an in-house machine shop and has a close relationship with General Motors.
In the late 1950s Charles Pollion built the first Marine Power engine for a La Fitte skiff, a classic Louisiana shrimp boat. The commercial-grade engines earned a reputation for performance and reliability in the Gulf and replaced established brands in the commercial market. In 1984 the company was purchased by a new group that took the engines into the growing recreational boating market.
Today the company serves boat builders, dealers and boat owners through a worldwide network of dealers and distributors and an online retail site.
