About
Fountom was started in 2009 by a group of former marine engineers and operates as Chongqing Fountom Machinery Co., Ltd, based in the Yubei District of Chongqing, China. In its early years it worked as an export agency for Chinese marine equipment factories.
The company later recruited marine engineers and surveyors and set up a quality control programme with strategic supplier partners. It takes part in the full order process: project coordination, material inspection, supervision of manufacturing and test runs, classification approval and product delivery.
Fountom states that it serves shipowners, shipyards and other shipping service companies in more than 13 countries.
